The Statistical Center of Iran announced that economic growth in the first three months of 1405 (Iranian calendar) was negative 10.1%. According to the official news agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRNA), the center said in its report on Sunday, September 20 (29 Shahrivar), that the country’s gross domestic product in the first three months of this year was 21,795 billion rials, while the figure for the first three months of the previous year had been 24,255 billion rials.

According to the Statistical Center of Iran, only the agriculture sector had growth of 2.3%, while the industry and mining sectors were down 14.7% and the services sector was down 4.8% compared with the first three months of 1404.

Iran has been in a wartime situation since last February, when the United States and Israel began attacks on the country.
