Iran has warned countries that support US President Donald Trump’s idea of using Iranian frozen assets without Tehran’s permission that it will ban their vessels from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

“Warning the criminal US president of the consequences of this illegal action, we also declare to all companies and states that are going to support Trump’s proposal and use Iran’s frozen assets for this purpose that, from that moment on, the Iranian armed forces will not allow any of their vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz,” spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya central headquarters of the Iranian armed forces Ebrahim Zolfaghari said in a video address.
