12. Control and limit mentions and tags (Tags and Mentions) Hackers, by tagging you on fake contest posts or fake giveaways, try to steal your banking information or your password.

Path: Your profile three-line menu (Settings) select Tags and mentions change the options to Allow tags from people you follow (only people you follow) or fully block them.

13. The best method to clear all activity at once—chats, likes, comments, and searches—is to use the Your Activity section (Your activities) and apply the following settings:

Main path for comprehensive cleanup: Go to your profile, click the three-line menu (Settings), and select Your activity. In this section, you can collectively select and delete all likes, comments, tags (Tags), and your search history (Recent searches). Also, to clear chats, simply press and hold the chat you want in Direct and tap Delete, or activate Vanish Mode by swiping up on the chat screen.

14. Do not use your real name and real photo for your Instagram account if you want to be active. Also, do not create your Instagram email using your real name _ in the profile section, be sure to delete your phone number.
