Insider source: the northern and southern corridors of the Strait of Hormuz will be removed

An informed source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 🔹 Under the negotiation framework proposed between Iran and Oman, it is expected that within a specified period, entry into the Strait of Hormuz will be carried out via the northern corridor of the strait near Iran’s coast, and the ships’ exit will be via the southern corridor near Oman’s coast. 🔹 After the end of the specified deadline, the passage of ships through both the northern and southern corridors will be stopped, and all transit will take place through the central corridor; with the difference that the ships’ entry will be managed by Iran and the ships’ exit will be managed jointly by Iran and Oman. 🔹 The fees set for ships to pass through the strait will be determined in the form of the cost of various services. 🔹 The report alleging an Iran–Oman dispute over the percentage of the ships’ cargo value [the 7% or 3% tariff] as the payment is not true, and what is received from the ships depends on many variables, including the level of services that we are able to provide. 🔹 Insurance, refueling, environmental fees, and items of this kind are among the services for which ships must pay.
