As fighting in several fronts in Yemen intensified, the Houthis targeted the Aden International Airport on Wednesday morning with a ballistic missile and explosive drones.

According to Reuters, Yemen’s Ministry of Transport said a missile hit near the runway minutes before the landing of a flight from Cairo.

Based on the same statement, officials canceled the landing and diverted the plane to Jeddah, and moved two aircraft that were stationed on the runway away for fear of further attacks.

Aden International Airport is the main gateway for parts of Yemen that are outside the Houthis’ control.
