🔶Identification of the “Flydubai” co-pilot’s identity; the UAE called the ax attack a “terrorist act”
US media have identified the co-pilot, “Hamam Alhamami,” 29, as the person who intended to carry out a terrorist act during a flight for the company “Flydubai.” He is said to be a national of Oman. The flight carried a large number of Israeli citizens.
According to a report by CNN, his deleted account on the professional network LinkedIn indicates that he worked at “Oman Air” for seven years up until February 2025, and afterwards for a period at “Royal Air Maroc.” Investigations also show that in 2023 he graduated in the field of aviation management from “Buckinghamshire New University” in the UK.
On an Instagram account attributed to Alhamami following the incident, videos were posted that include images of Israeli aircraft, as well as photos of “Ayman al-Zawahiri,” the former leader of al-Qaeda, and “Hamam Khalil Aburman al-Balawi,” the perpetrator of the 2009 suicide bombing of the CIA base in Afghanistan.
