🔻Houthis say Saudi Arabia carried out two airstrikes on Saada
Al Masirah TV, the Houthis’ television network, says Saudi Arabia carried out two airstrikes on the Saada province in northern Yemen. Al Masirah also reported artillery shelling in the border area of Manbah in the same province. After the Houthis announced, on 29 Tir, a mutual naval blockade in response to Saudi Arabia’s blockade, fighting between them and Yemeni government forces supported by Saudi Arabia has intensified. The Iran-aligned Houthis took full control of the western coast of the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb strait in a major operation last week, driving government forces out. Earlier, we reported that the United Nations said today that with the escalation of the fighting between government forces and the Iran-aligned Houthis, nearly 86,000 people have been displaced in Yemen, and the number of displaced people increased by 10,000 in one day.
