Houthi forces in Yemen said they targeted Aramco facilities in Riyadh with a ballistic missile and a drone.

According to Agence France-Presse, flames and thick smoke rose on Saturday afternoon from Aramco facilities in south Riyadh.

Yahya Sarea, a Houthi military spokesman, said on Saturday evening on the X network that the group carried out a “military operation with ballistic missiles and drones” against Aramco in Riyadh, and that the attacks caused fires at the targeted locations.

Sarea said the attacks were in response to Saudi airstrikes on areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen, including Sanaa, and claimed that in the past 24 hours about 60 airstrikes were carried out on these areas.

Saudi officials and Aramco have not commented on the cause of the fire.
