🔻Hours after Israeli media reported the postponement of Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to Washington “for unspecified reasons,” the Israeli prime minister set off for the American capital.

According to Israeli media, Mr. Netanyahu’s flight was due to depart at 11 a.m. local time, but the prime minister’s office confirmed that the trip had been delayed, although no reason for the delay was announced.

The Israeli media, citing the prime minister’s office, reported that Mr. Netanyahu had flown to Washington a little before 1 p.m. local time—nearly two hours later than the original schedule.

The media also referred to flight-tracking websites, indicating that Mr. Netanyahu’s flight took off from the Nevatim Airbase.

The media further wrote that the prime minister’s office did not announce why Mr. Netanyahu flew from this airbase instead of departing from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.
