🔻Hossein Khajeh-Amiri, a veteran and renowned Iranian music singer who was known by the stage name Iraj, was laid to rest on Friday, 23 Mordad.

The funeral procession for this artist was held in front of Vahdat Hall and then his body was transferred to the Artists’ section of Behesht Zahra for burial. In the ceremony, which was attended by his family, friends, and a group of artists and admirers, Ehsan Khajeh-Amiri, his son, spoke about his father and performed a piece.

Hamide Reza Norbakhsh, singer and CEO of the House of Music, was among the other speakers at the ceremony. He said about Iraj: «One cannot separate Iraj from the music of this land.» Alireza Eftekhari and Mohammad Mousavi were also present at the ceremony, and with performances of vocal music and ney, they honored the memory of this veteran singer.

Hossein Khajeh-Amiri died on 21 Mordad at the age of 93.
