Homa Timouri and her husband Yaser Azadeh, two graduates of the master’s level at the University of Tarbiat Modares and Shahid Beheshti University, who had been arrested during the countrywide protests in Dey, were each sentenced to five years in prison.

According to a Telegram channel of United Students, Homa Timouri, a graduate of the master’s program in political thought at the University of Tarbiat Modares, was sentenced to five years in prison by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, presided over by Abolqasem Salavati, on charges of “assembly and collusion against national security.”

Based on this report, in addition to the prison sentence, the court also sentenced Timouri to two years of a travel ban and two years of deprivation of activity on social media networks, and issued an order to seize her mobile phone.

Yaser Azadeh, a graduate of the master’s program in Western philosophy at Shahid Beheshti University and the husband of Homa Timouri, was also sentenced in the same case to five years in prison.
