Hassan Qashqavi, spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Majlis, announced that the Islamic Republic does not accept the “Southern Corridor of the Strait of Hormuz,” which the United States is trying to impose through pressure and threats, and new arrangements will be adopted in this regard.

Qashqavi said: “The negotiations between the Islamic Republic and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz are bilateral and have nothing to do with the United States or other countries.”

The spokesperson of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Majlis added that the Islamic Republic will make a definitive decision regarding the Strait of Hormuz and, directed toward “national security and national interests,” will apply new arrangements in this waterway.

Qashqavi said: “The conditions of the Strait of Hormuz will absolutely not return to what they were before the start of the war.”
