Happy Birthday Yossi 🐘🥳: The famous elephant at Israel’s zoo celebrates its 52nd birthday. Yossi is the heaviest elephant living in zoos around the world. According to Hila Feldman, the zoo’s spokesperson, elephants in the wild have a much shorter lifespan due to the dangers and threats they face. She described Israel’s zoo as a “seven-star hotel, but enclosed,” saying it provides Yossi with a safe environment free of enemies, predators, and territorial conflicts, along with healthy and readily available food.

Yossi weighs nearly seven tons and is fed a diet rich in hay and vegetables, and has a special fondness for carrots.
