Families of patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) gathered in protest against price hikes and drug shortages in front of the Ministry of Health.

For children who deal day by day with the complications of a genetic and progressive disease, medication is part of life; but the families say that in searching for the drugs they need, they go from this pharmacy to that one, and the response is usually the same: “We don’t have it.”

CF mainly affects the lungs and the digestive system and can be accompanied by chronic coughing, gastrointestinal problems, and growth impairment.

The families of these patients say that the shortage and high prices of medications have made the burden of the disease heavier for them.
