The Haalvosh website reported that, from around 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, 21 Shahrivar, a severe clash between military and security forces and unidentified armed individuals began in the Bakhshan area of Saravan County.

According to local sources of Haalvosh, the fighting began after the entry of dozens of military and security forces into the area and continued for more than three hours. The sources said they heard at least 14 explosions and heavy gunfire around the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Saravan, Enqelab (Revolution) Street, and the area around the Intelligence Office and the prison.

Haalvosh also reported that several reconnaissance drones were seen over the area and that the sound of ambulances could be heard within the vicinity of the clashes. The outlet, citing its own sources, reported that a number of military and security forces were killed and injured, but said the number and identities of them are not known.

Based on Haalvosh’s report, a residential house was also hit with more than 20 RPG rounds and several grenades. The outlet emphasized that it was unable to independently verify the number of rounds and the details related to the attack on the house.
