📸 Group painting; a way to escape the psychological wounds of war

A childhood intertwined with war, psychological pressures, and livelihood problems.

For many Iranian children and teenagers, the future is uncertain. Educational programs and tutoring support are canceled or disrupted under the shadow of war, power outages, an unprecedented heatwave, and the mismanagement of officials.

In such conditions, a semi-private organization held a group painting event at the Homa Shopping Center in Tehran to help reduce the psychological damage caused by social pressures—an event that was met with enthusiasm by children and parents.

Perhaps for children whose families themselves are caught in a difficult struggle to make ends meet, there is little room left to express their fears and pain.

Sometimes, though, a roll of paper and a few colored pencils are enough—to depict, with their small hands, what they cannot put into words.
