🔸Global oil prices on Monday, 30 Shahrivar, fell at the start of trading in U.S. financial markets, with Brent crude dropping for the first time in more than a week to below $100 per barrel.

🔸U.S. oil, known as West Texas Intermediate, was also traded with a similar decline of about $95 per barrel. According to Agence France-Presse, the drop in oil prices came amid hopes for diplomatic progress toward ending the war between Iran and the United States.

🔸The news agency also referred to this in connection with this week’s meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York and Donald Trump’s comments, the U.S. president, stating that he is prepared to meet with Masoud Pezeshkian, his Iranian counterpart, on the sidelines of the summit.

🔸In recent days, oil prices had risen after tensions in the Middle East intensified, including an increase in attacks by Yemen’s Houthi forces on energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.

🔸Bloomberg news agency reported that after an attack on Saudi Arabia’s main East-to-West pipeline, the oil company Aramco informed at least two European refineries that it would not deliver crude oil next month based on long-term contracts.
