Germany’s Foreign Minister, in a post on the X social network, while expressing support for the efforts of the U.S. president, described Hamas’ agreement to disarmament as hopeful news.

Johan Wadeful said that he welcomes the agreement reached by the United States with the support of mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye.

He noted that what matters is that real progress be achieved and that Hamas be truly disarmed. The group should never again pose a threat to Israel.

The German foreign minister, stressing that he welcomes Israel’s actions to enable the deployment of international forces, announced his country’s readiness to send humanitarian aid to Gaza and support the initial reconstruction process.

Wadeful also emphasized in this message the need to reopen the Gaza crossings without delay.
