The Khatam al-Anbiya Garrison, which is responsible for managing war in Iran, has warned in a new statement released on Monday night that if the United States repeats the naval blockade of Iran’s ports, Tehran will interpret it as a “widening of the war.”
In the new statement, the garrison said: “Over the past three days (the United States) has carried out acts of threatening vessels and cargo ships and Iran’s oil tankers in the coastal and territorial waters of our country. We warn that this action by the United States is to be regarded as the expansion of the war in the region, and, as the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have demonstrated in the field, any threat and villainy of that country’s terrorist army will not go unanswered, and they will be confronted.”
The continuous and reciprocal attacks between the United States and Iran, which had continued for nearly two weeks without interruption, have been halted since three nights ago, coinciding with the increase in optimism that the talks between the two sides will be fruitful for now. However, Donald Trump has continued to threaten that if these talks do not lead to an outcome, he will consider a military attack.
