François Béchiu, deputy mayor of Paris, says that holding the fourth anniversary ceremony of “Woman, Life, Freedom” in the main building of the city hall of France’s capital is a sign of the city’s support for women and people of Iran.

Referring to the continuation of crackdowns in Iran, he said that Paris wants to be the voice of those who are fighting for freedom, equality, and women’s rights.

The day before, a ceremony marking the fourth anniversary of the Mahsa movement was held at the Paris city hall building.
