‌🔻Fox News reports that Donald Trump said the United States will “strongly” target Iran after a missile attack on U.S. bases in Jordan.

A Fox News reporter, citing Mr. Trump, said: “We will hit them hard. They’ll be severely punished.”

The reporter added that the U.S. president used a vulgar term to emphasize his threat and said: “We will really smash them.”

Fox News also reported, citing Mr. Trump, that joint airstrikes by the United States and Saudi Arabia against Iran-backed militias inside Iraq had been coordinated with Iraqi officials.

After speaking with the U.S. president, the Fox News reporter said Mr. Trump “says these attacks were coordinated with the Iraqi government.”

The remarks attributed to Mr. Trump come as Iraq’s presidency has called the U.S. and Saudi airstrikes an “outright violation of Iraq’s sovereignty” and condemned them. 📷Getty
