The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Türkiye, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, in a statement, condemned Israel’s opposition to the “roadmap” for implementing Donald Trump’s comprehensive plan, the U.S. president, to end the war in Gaza.
Trump’s plan has been approved in UN Security Council Resolution 2803.
In a statement published on the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs account on the social network X, Israel’s opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state was also condemned. The statement said these positions by Israel, in practice, amount to a direct rejection of the plan, jeopardize its implementation, and severely undermine collective efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace.
These countries also said that rejecting the plan shows that Israel is now responsible for creating an obstacle on the path of efforts to establish peace in Gaza and other parts of Palestine.
