Following the intensification of Islamic Republic attacks on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and the Houthis’ missile attacks on Saudi Arabia, the price of oil in global markets increased by nearly 3%.

The price of the Brent benchmark rose 2.5% on Thursday morning to reach $102.70.

At the same time, Reuters reported that the intensification of Islamic Republic attacks on oil tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz has caused maritime traffic through this waterway to fall to the lowest level in the past two months.

According to the latest data from Kpler, the number of trackable vessels that transited the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday was only seven, the lowest figure since July 23.
