Following the escalation of Houthi attacks on civilian targets, Riyadh schools have switched to remote learning for one week.

Agence France-Presse, citing the text of an email sent by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education to the parents of students, reported that the decision was made after a deadly attack on Saturday on the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

In the attack, which the Arab League called “terrorist,” at least 12 people were killed and 309 were injured.

This is the second time in less than a month that Saudi Arabia has moved schooling in the capital to remote instruction due to the Houthi attacks on civilian targets.
