Fatemeh Moghajerani, the government spokesperson, announced that the monthly quota of gasoline priced at 3,000 tomans has been reduced from 70 liters to 50 liters. She also said that no decision has yet been made about increasing the price of non-quota gasoline for fuel sold with station cards.

Moghajerani said on Tuesday, the 6th of Mordad, at a press conference that the quota for 3,000-toman gasoline had previously been 100 liters, during wartime it was reduced to 70 liters, and it has now reached 50 liters.

The government spokesperson also said that the capacity of domestic gasoline production has suffered serious damage after the war, and added that imported gasoline “requires the allocation of special foreign exchange.”

Referring to the energy sector’s condition after the war, she said: “In the attacks carried out during the war, 230 million cubic meters of gas production capacity were lost.”
