Fadhehhossein Maleki, a member of the Majles National Security Commission, said: “The Americans are unhappy with the negotiations process between the Islamic Republic and Oman; because one of our conditions in negotiations with Oman was that the Americans not participate in these negotiations, and we did not allow America to be present in the talks.”

Maleki added: “This will be difficult for the Americans, and it is natural that they get angry over this move.”

The Majles lawmaker added: “What is certain is that if we reach an agreement with Oman, given that the negotiations are in the final stage, this agreement can be one of the biggest victories for the Islamic Republic against the United States.”

He continued: “The arrangements for transit in the Strait of Hormuz must be based on views and considerations that the Islamic Republic sets.”
