The Emirates’ Cyber Security Council said it has neutralized widespread and advanced cyberattacks against vital sectors and the country’s infrastructure.

In a statement, the council announced that the national cyber security systems successfully identified and neutralized advanced, organized cyberattacks that targeted aviation, energy, and education sectors in the UAE.

The Emirates’ Cyber Security Council noted that the aforementioned attacks involved multiple attack methods and pathways. These included attempts to infiltrate systems and digital infrastructure, targeting operational accounts and data, as well as attempts to misuse users.

The UAE did not announce the source or the exact timing of the attacks, but said that its systems remain on standby and are seeking to identify and monitor cyber threats.
