Eight years after the “Caspian Sea Legal Status Convention” was signed in Aktau, Kazakhstan, the government of Masoud Pezeshkian has sent a bill to the Islamic Consultative Assembly to ratify Iran’s accession to this convention, with a one-urgent-item (one-for-it) priority; an action that has once again brought to the forefront political and legal discussions about Iran’s rights in the Caspian Sea and concerns regarding the country’s final share of this body of water.
