Egypt’s foreign minister said his country is ready to provide any kind of help to Saudi Arabia in its battle against the Houthis in Yemen.
Badr Abdelatty, in an interview with Bloomberg Television, and in response to a question about the likelihood of military assistance from Egypt, said, “Whatever the Saudis want, of course we will respond.” He added, “Without any conditions, we provide any kind of support.”
Abdelatty spoke on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund in Bangkok.
According to Bloomberg, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was targeted in two separate attacks last weekend, killing at least 14 people and injuring more than 300.
An airport in Dammam, in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, was also hit, where some of the country’s biggest oil fields are located.
These attacks were the deadliest strikes against Saudi Arabia since the start of the war between the United States and Israel with the Islamic Republic.
