🔶 "Efforts to isolate Iran’s economy are bearing fruit"
Scott Bessent, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, said that since the start of the “economic eviction” operation against Iran, the United States has sent representatives across the world to pressure countries to isolate Iran’s economy. He also welcomed new restrictions that target Iranian airlines and banks.
On Saturday, the fourth of Mehr (26 September), in a message on the X social network, Bessent, by sharing an article from The Wall Street Journal, wrote: “At my direction, teams were sent around the world to speak with countries and urge action against the Iranian regime. These efforts are bearing fruit.”
Bessent added that Turkey and Oman have reported the suspension of flights by Mahan Airlines to their countries, and the United Arab Emirates has also halted all flights by Iranian airlines. He then wrote that major commercial banks in Turkey and the UAE have also stopped any financial transactions with Iran.
