🔶 Donald Trump: The war with Iran is nearing its end
Donald Trump, the U.S. president, said on Friday, October 16 (Mehr 24), at a Republican gathering in Dalton, Georgia, that the military operation against Iran will soon be brought to an end and that the Islamic Republic will never obtain a nuclear weapon.
Trump also said that the U.S. military operation has severely weakened Iran’s armed forces and led to the destruction of aircraft, naval vessels, and military infrastructure. He stressed that the Islamic Republic’s naval and air forces have been wiped out and that the army has been destroyed.
The U.S. president further claimed that 159 Iranian naval vessels were sunk within three days and that 289 aircraft have been destroyed.
Trump again defended his decision to launch a military operation against Tehran and said Iran was nearing the acquisition of nuclear weapons and posed a threat to Israel, the Middle East, and ultimately the United States.
He admitted that a military conflict has affected energy prices, but argued that despite favorable economic conditions within the United States, military action was necessary.
Trump also described Iran’s maritime blockade as a success and said that no Iranian ship has been able to pass through this blockade.
While speaking at the Republican gathering in Dalton, Georgia, Trump told the “Newsmax” network that to prevent the Islamic Republic from obtaining nuclear weapons, the U.S. might target the underground facilities of “Pickaxe Mountain.” He emphasized that the U.S. may attack these facilities and destroy them quickly.
