Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said the Islamic Republic knows well when Washington is ready for military action and when it is only issuing threats. He stressed that the recent U.S. threats against the Islamic Republic were not “a bluff,” and that the U.S. army was prepared to carry out the attack.
In an interview with Fox News, when asked what makes him think that this time the situation will be different, Trump said: “I think it’s that threat—meaning, in fact, that was no longer just a threat. We were prepared to take action.”
He added: “In life, the other side understands when you are truly ready to take action and when you are just bluffing. No, we were prepared to take action, and if it’s necessary, we will continue to be prepared.”
The U.S. president, emphasizing Washington’s military readiness, said the Islamic Republic is aware of this and knows that the United States’ threats at this stage are different from the past. He also stated that if necessary, the U.S. will still be ready to carry out military action.
