Donald Trump, the President of the United States, welcomed Xi Jinping, his Chinese counterpart, by laying out a red carpet and holding a display flight over Joint Base Andrews, to kick off his historic three-day trip to the United States.

In the welcoming ceremony, which also included a red carpet, two B-1 bombers flew over the airfield to honor Xi’s arrival.

Commercial tariffs, artificial intelligence, Taiwan, and the Iran war are expected to be among the key topics that Trump and Xi will discuss over the course of this week.
