🔻A Norwegian teenager who had traveled to Britain to carry out “contract killings,” at the instruction of a Swedish criminal gang, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder.

At the trial of Johannes Knatland, 19, at the Old Bailey, Britain’s main criminal court in central London, it was heard that in March 2025, he was arrested in a hotel room in the city of Huddersfield, Britain, while having two firearms ready to be fired and 19 live rounds.

He admitted the charge of possessing weapons and ammunition, but has denied the charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

After the retrial, and when the jury delivered a unanimous verdict following more than 17 hours of deliberation, Mr. Knatland showed no reaction.

At the start of the trial, Alistair Richardson, the prosecutor in the case, said that the teenager had been recruited into the Fuxtratt network, which is a Swedish organized crime group that the Iranian government also deals with.

Knatland claimed that instead of carrying out a killing operation, he intended to shoot himself.
