🔶 Deputy Chairman of Article 90 Commission: We Are Collecting Documents for the Impeachment of Iraqchi
Hoseinali Hajideligani, first deputy chairman of the Article 90 Commission of the Constitution in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said that “any agreement with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz must be approved by the parliament,” and called for Abbas Iraqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, to be held accountable regarding the negotiations between Iran and the United States.
In another part of his remarks in an interview with the Iran Watch website, in response to Donald Trump’s recent comments about indirect talks between the Islamic Republic and the United States, the deputy chairman of the Article 90 Commission said: “I told one of the country’s top officials that the ideas of the Foreign Ministry team are stuck in the Qajar era and they are very far behind developments. Some of them also have the mindset of creating dependence and, out of fear and submission, [they do so].”
He, while criticizing the current foreign policy of the Foreign Ministry team of the Islamic Republic, added: “The other side informs [us] sooner, but the diplomatic ‘cooking’ of the Foreign Ministry team shows the team’s backwardness.”
