🔻In response to FIFA’s retreat from the plan to sell part of the World Cup’s shares, CONCACAF called for a “complete review” of FIFA’s leadership and criticized what it described as “the recent unilateral and egregious action arising from weak governance and leadership”; an action that, according to the federation, is “a continuation of the pattern of mistakes and similar conduct.”

🔹According to Sky Sports, the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Football (CONCACAF) has effectively moved to remove Gianni Infantino.

🔹Earlier, The Telegraph reported that UEFA, following the cancellation of FIFA’s controversial plan to sell part of the World Cup’s business, has given Gianni Infantino, the FIFA president, an ultimatum: either he resigns from his position or he will face an emergency vote to remove him.

🔹If Infantino does not step down, all 55 UEFA members will vote to remove him. UEFA needs the support of only 43 FIFA members to request such a vote.
