🔶 Clash between pilots on Dubai–Tel Aviv flight; emergency landing in Saudi Arabia
A passenger plane of “FlyDubai” with flight number FZ1073, which on Wednesday, 8 Mehr (30 September) was traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv, after a clash between two pilots occurred, deviated from its route and made an emergency landing at the local airport “Tabuk” in Saudi Arabia. FlyDubai announced that all passengers are safe.
The aircraft first sent the emergency code 7700 and then the code 7500; a code that can indicate unlawful intervention or hijacking. This situation prompted Israeli fighter jets to be scrambled.
Some Israeli media outlets suggest that this incident may have been a terrorist attack. Officials said that no hijacking occurred and that the incident was related to a physical altercation between the pilots.
According to some reports, one of the pilots intended to bring the aircraft down, and the other pilot got into a struggle with him to prevent this action. Reports have also been published about the use of a knife and one of the pilots being injured. These details have not yet been independently confirmed, and investigations are underway into the cause of the incident
