Chinese and U.S. officials concluded their second day of talks about artificial intelligence, investment, and trade in New York on Monday.

According to Bloomberg, Liao Min, China’s vice minister of finance, said the discussions focused on implementing the agreements reached by the two countries’ senior negotiators. He did not comment on the likelihood of extending the trade truce.

Jameson Greer, the U.S. trade representative, told Bloomberg TV that extending the trade truce by three to six months, which expires in Aban, could be possible.

Based on data from Chinese customs, exports of rare-earth magnets from China to the United States fell 21% last month, reaching 512 tons.
