China’s Defense Ministry said the country’s air forces and Egypt will hold their second joint drill in Egypt from mid-August to early September.

Chen Shi, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Defense, said at a press conference that the drill will focus on air combat tactics, air superiority operations, and combat search and rescue, and will also include maneuvers for employing forces.

He said that the second round of the drill will strengthen mutual trust and the countries’ traditional friendship, and deepen practical cooperation between the armed forces of China and Egypt.
