Channel 12 Israel reported that Israeli officials only became aware of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to cancel a large, pre-planned operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran after a message from Donald Trump was posted on social media.

Saeid Simiayi, a national security expert, said that if Netanyahu reaches the conclusion that a temporary agreement to keep the Islamic Republic’s nuclear and missile capabilities intact will leave them unharmed, it is unlikely that Israel’s security would be sacrificed for Trump’s political satisfaction. He added that in such conditions, there is a possibility that Netanyahu will act unilaterally again and then the United States will be forced to go along.
