🔶 CENTCOM: US help enabled passage of more than 1 billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) says the volume of crude oil, cargo, and liquefied natural gas that passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the past two weeks has reached its highest level in the past six months.

Brad Cooper, the commander of CENTCOM, says in a video message posted on the social media platform X that the U.S. military has helped facilitate the passage of more than one billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz over the past several months.

According to him, during the same period, U.S. forces provided security for more than 2,000 commercial ships transiting through the strait.

Cooper also said that in this period, the Iranian government did not export any oil from this strait due to the naval blockade imposed by the United States.

The CENTCOM commander says: “We are also working with all our partners in the region, strengthening their air defense capabilities, forming a new coalition to counter attacking drones, and keeping the Strait of Hormuz and the waters around it open, safe, and free of threats.”
