Canada’s Foreign Ministry, by posting on the social media platform X, announced that “I firmly and without any ambiguity condemn the continued execution of protesters in Iran.”

Canada emphasized that the people of Iran must be able to exercise their rights regarding freedom of expression and freedom of assembly without fear of retaliation by the Islamic Republic.

The Government of Canada urged the Islamic Republic to immediately end the use of the death penalty and to respect and guarantee the rights of Iranian citizens in accordance with international law.
