🔻California officials announced that the man who had been seen near the golf course belonging to Donald Trump, the president of the United States, in the Los Angeles area, was detained before Trump arrived to attend a fundraising ceremony.

According to investigators, Janine Jon Tayel, 38, was detained at “Trump National Golf Course” in “Rancho Palos Verdes” with a handgun and illegal ammunition.

The Los Angeles police chief said the individual had been seen “walking through different areas of the golf course grounds, taking photos and videos, and apparently monitoring activities related to security planning.”

The arrest took place on Sunday afternoon. Mr. Trump is now in California to attend a Republican Party fundraising event scheduled to be held on Tuesday night local West Coast time at this same golf course.

Mr. Tayel is currently being held on charges of carrying a concealed firearm and possessing prohibited ammunition.
