🔸The British Maritime Trade Operations Organization announced on Saturday, 10 Mordad, that an explosion occurred near an oil tanker in the waters of the North of Oman, but the vessel was not damaged.

🔸According to this organization, the tanker’s captain reported on Friday evening that, at a distance of 21 nautical miles northeast of Khasab, water was thrown into the air with force, and then an explosion occurred near the ship.

🔸Hours earlier, the British Maritime Trade Operations Organization had reported an attack on a tanker 11 nautical miles northeast of Lima in Oman. In that incident, an unknown projectile struck the tanker, its engine room was damaged, and the vessel lost control.

🔸Khasab and Lima are both located in the Musandam Peninsula of Oman and near the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.

🔸The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy had announced on Friday that it had targeted and stopped two tankers which, according to the force, intended to pass through the Strait of Hormuz via a “unannounced” route with air support from U.S. forces.
