Expulsion of British diplomats from Jerusalem following Israel’s abolition of consulate status;

In response to London’s recent sanctions against this country’s settlements, the Israeli government issued an order to expel 20 British diplomats, including the country’s consul general.

Following this decision, the British consulate in Jerusalem has officially lost its diplomatic and consular status, and its signs have been removed.

Under the new regulations, only seven British diplomats have been allowed to continue their work under the new title “British Representation in Jerusalem,” with limited powers and activities.
