BBC: Trump threatened to bomb it if Oman, a U.S. ally, “blocked the way” to an agreement with Iran.

The United States and Oman are separately negotiating with Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global trade that, during the U.S.-Iran war, has been closed for almost six months. A Fox reporter said Trump raised the threat in a phone interview. Earlier, Iranian officials had said they were close to finalizing an agreement with Oman. At the same time, the future of the U.S.-Iran talks remains unclear because a 60-day memorandum of understanding is set to expire. When asked by BBC News whether he wanted to extend it, Trump replied: “No.”
