‌🔻Barak Ravid, an Axios reporter, citing two U.S. officials and an informed source, has reported that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed concern on Saturday in a phone conversation with Donald Trump about his possible plans for fresh, wide-ranging attacks on Iran.

According to one U.S. official, Saudi Arabia wants clarity on the details of the U.S. operational plan. Another source said the crown prince urged Donald Trump to de-escalate tensions and to refrain from carrying out these attacks.

Based on the report, Mr. Trump is seriously considering an attack on Iran’s energy facilities in the coming days, but he has not yet issued a final order. The White House and the Saudi embassy in Washington have declined to comment on the call.

Axios also wrote that Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Pakistan are working to reduce tensions between the United States and Iran as well. On Saturday, Qatari mediators discussed separately with Abbas Araghchi, Steve Witkoff, and Omani officials about a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
