👈 Axios: Washington is still waiting for Tehran’s response to a proposal to end the war

Axios claims that the White House and Qatari mediators are still waiting for Iran’s response to the U.S. reciprocal proposal for ending the war; an American official said this is still being reviewed internally in Tehran.

According to a regional source, in recent days the mediators have told Abbas Araghchi that Iran should not delay its response until after the U.S. midterm elections.

These mediators have warned that there is no guarantee Trump will take a softer stance after the elections and that he may even adopt a more aggressive approach.
