Axios, citing a well-informed source, reported that a Hamas delegation, during its recent trip to Iran to take part in the funeral ceremonies for Ali Khamenei, met with senior officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

During the meeting, the IRGC officials asked Hamas not to rush to sign this agreement and, by prolonging the negotiations process, to buy time.

Axios, citing a senior American official, reported that the Islamic Republic has tried to persuade Hamas not to sign the disarmament agreement, but the group decided not to heed this recommendation.
