"I am Najmeh Amini, 23 years old. I am leaving this message for you from Central Prison in Mashhad on 27 Shahrivar 1405." The audio file released by a prisoner begins with this sentence.

In this audio file, she says that on 25 Shahrivar, at Branch Six of the Criminal Court of the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad, "by the ruling of Judge Asian," a death sentence was issued for her.

In this file, she emphasizes her innocence and asks lawyers and human rights activists to review her case and follow up on her situation.

At the end of her message, she says: «Remember my name. Maybe I won’t be able to speak anymore, but while I’m alive I have one hope: that before the rope of the end of my life, I will see Iran prosperous and free.»

Hours after the release of this audio file, the security-linked news agency Fars, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, while confirming the imprisonment of a person named Najmeh Amini in Mashhad prison, denied the issuance of a death sentence for her and wrote, citing "an informed source": «No final ruling has been issued for this accused yet, and the judiciary has not yet expressed an opinion on this case.»
